CAAT Pension Plan provides workplaces with lifetime retirement income plans for employees. CAAT is an industry-leading innovator in helping Canadian workplaces and their employees participate in a sustainable pension plan with 82,900 members in their plan and 291 participating employers.
CAAT was operating a legacy website wich was not compliant with regional AODA accessibility standards. The site had a poor user experience which affected the ability of CAAT to strategically achieve their goals. Sign ups for pension participants were low due to a poor navigation structure along with strategic tools such as pension calculators which were not functioning as intended. The organization itself was dedicating resources to customer experience on the website which could have been automated by better navigation and content strategy which resulted in additional internal cost to manage the site.
CAATs commitment to innovation and continuing to be a leader in the space drove a change in the website's approach to maximizing user experience and helping with operational efficiency.
The vision for their future digital experience was for audiences to have a seamless customer experience and for the site to be much more of a strategic tool for marketing and sales while also cutting down on the time management to deploy any strategies through the site. Additionally CAAT was looking for a unified design system that was scalable, accessible, and flexible enough for their team to use and implement.
User Experience Consulting and planning to align the internal teams strategically with the goal and structure of the website through our proprietary HOLO framework. We designed and built the new website while also providing CAAT with a design system to inform the expansion of tools and creative direction.
