Webflows "The State of the Website" research has shown some common issues marketing teams dealt with in 2024.
Webflow recently released its "The State of the Website 2024" and we pulled out 5 of the common challenges we continuously hear from marketing teams. Website and tech stack decisions continue to set the trajectory of the success of a website in helping organizations achieve their objectives. Couple that with bandwidth issues and marketing teams need support, understanding, and advice that puts their best interest and future trajectory first.
Websites can be expensive and restrictive if deployed inaccurately
Marketing leaders said they spend $1.6M on website teams and software annually. The website is becoming an increasingly expensive and time-consuming asset to manage, and it is also not flexible enough to respond quickly to customer needs.
Website ownership can be challenging
81% of marketing leaders interviewed said it is challenging for their teams to manage their websites. The majority of these teams feel restricted by the way their websites are deployed.
Current web tech stacks are missing the mark
60% of marketing leaders believe their web tech stack is missing the mark. They agree that they need to improve their websites to achieve their business goals, but most current stacks fail to empower them.
Innovation is essential
Despite 93% of marketing leaders agreeing that marketing teams must continually innovate to remain competitive, 61% of respondents state they struggle to manage their team's current workloads.
Executive demand is increasing
93% of respondents said their executive team believes they should be enhancing the website or tech stack.
These are potential pitfalls along the web and digital transformation journey. Marketers need support from companies that spend thetime understanding their business objectives, marketing workflows, and customer needs. This is the entire basis of why we created the HOLO Framework.
